The interior won't be too visible but I also painted it a bit.

Kaczor, I kept thinking that I don't need a VW Type 87, mostly because I have so many projects. However, you are making it increasingly difficult to resist. I did notice that the little RC VW seems not to be readily available now, as if the first production run is largely sold out.

Also on Banggood at Approx £30.
I have two of them, They are so easy to strip down to paint and detail the whole car.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I have no idea why I did not find many of the VW on AliExpress: now I see "WPL D62" galore! Maybe there was a typo in my search, or I was using "CXD" instead of "WPL," or there was the usual f--t in my brain. They are also on eBay, albeit at higher prices (but with shipping included).

Great conversion! Does it run well?

Stencils are the way to go, can't wait to see it finished and weathered!

Thanks. The figure is roughly painted (you can barely see it anyway). I wanted to add some color, so the guy has an early (green) AK uniform.

Today I put everything together. Unfortunately, the printed mirror broke and flew somewhere. Overall, the model is delicate, both bumpers broke at the joints. There will still be windows, license plates, etc.

As a bonus, a blue Beetle that I ordered for my nephew as a Christmas present.
