Good Morning,
I have a complete Hooben Elephant kit with the metal servos and electronics, etc. When I get to it ( some time off like everyone else here ) I will build it with the supplied suspension and plastic tracks to keep the weight down and make it a little more nimble for it's size ( hopefully ) I'll be following along with you guys to see what works and doesn't.

I noticed, the Hooben tracks are not plastic like the usual HL stuff.
They are rubber-like.
Curious how they last in outdoor action?

I just did the rebuild with a TK-7.1 two weeks ago and it worked well, but the gun recoil, gun sound and flash didn't.
What I didn't recognize that the gun have to be activated with pressing the buttons G and B; now everything works well and the driving ist much better than with the Hooben electronics!

If they are similar to my Hooben ZTZ-99 tracks, they are a type of nylon. Nylon is pretty slick stuff.

You have a fine improvement with the HL 7.1; let me see: I should be able to get to my old one in, say, 20 years as project no. 2379. Sigh...
