Good to know. That's between $30-$50 less for the 7.0

Is it a pain to convert? I wouldn't expect that bad?

Jarlath wrote: Mon Jun 17, 2024 6:49 pm Sounds like the main 8 pin connector is unplugged or damaged. Odds of all turret functions failing due to a Bad MFU (But everything else works?) Do the headlights work? Bow MG light up when used? Still drives?
Is that what Taigen calls the "Upper Hull Daughter board?

I've been watching it for months. It was $449 then $429 then it just dropped to $329. I figured even if I did a new MFU or converted to TK7.0 I'd still be ahead by a few $$$

Meter rat wrote: Mon Jun 17, 2024 7:12 am At that price, I’d take it. Swop in a TK7, and give it a proper elevation system, and alter he wiring so the recoil will work with it..
Ahh yess my gears were turning, now they're spinning. Gotta wait till Friday.

I have a Taigen Panther F and just ordered a Tk 7.0 from Haya will do a walk through for you so you can decide if its to involved for you.

MrChef: I will be watching this one, too. I really prefer Taigen/Torro sound and HengLong control, but Taigen/Torro seems to be asleep, so I may well be doing some conversions to HengLong.

Mr. Chef I was looking at that offer back in December too as one of my trio of Tiger winter projects. Having the Taigen V3 board and sound board and TX it would have been easy but I wanted a late Tiger so I cobbled the parts together from Forgebear, painted it and now it's off to Big Mike to do his magic on the internals and install the Clark TK50ESP. My Taigen mid Tiger was my first tank and now it's my main battler with all the mods and being turned into the mid Befehlstiger. The full metal Taigen Tigers are great tanks if you can just ignore the turret inaccuracies.

Ok, I pulled the trigger on the Tigger!!! :D

Done deal that I couldn't hold off on much longer.

I also got the daughter board as suggested for $4.99, some wiring harnesses for $6. and the 360 degree turret kit from Taigen as Motion doesn't stock this stuff.

If it's not an easy fix with those items and help from you guys I'm going to do the TK7.0 swap. I may still just do the swap regardless.

HERE WE GO!!! Perfect project for the New group build...

And other parts. daughterboad as suggested and a slipring kit for good measure.
