Kaczor: your "simple project" is not so simple, but the results are remarkable. I am impressed by the "bustle" on her behind.

Kaczor: see my comment about the periscope guards at viewtopic.php?t=36287 . I really would like to find out that the periscope guards really do belong on an M5.

About 1,650 M5A1s were delivered to the allies under Lend-Lease, mainly to Great Britain.Herr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 11:24 pm Kaczor: see my comment about the periscope guards at viewtopic.php?t=36287 . For its part, Great Britain equipped Polish and Czech units with the M5A1.
I found some pictures of the stuart in british services, all have the periscope guards.
It is therefore logical that the Polish Stuart also has periscope guards...

Yes, the periscope guards are in the photos of the Polish/British M5s, although they are a slightly different shape than those in the M4. I compromised because that's what I had in my stash. And the ones from the Classy Hobby kit are too fragile for RC model (same with front light guards(.

So maybe my adding the periscope guards was OK, but a since they are for the M4, they are too large. Oh, well, I'll survive. Actually Kaczor, I ran out of the metal periscope guards, so I used some 3D printed ones from Battleground Models here in the U.S. I will need to "handle with care."

Just the guns from Aber and we can call it finished. Handwritten inscription on the side based on the decals from the Mirage model.

Yeah that’s mint mate.
Just wondering what the trick is with that Jerry can on the front not being fully painted. I’m sure there’s some operational reason they did that ?
