time for another update: start of the electronics

Testing was all done with tamiya electronics.
But the elevation unit can't get the new 105mm canon up and down.
that's why I chose to mount an Elmod just like in most of my other tanks.

first I made a plexiglass as a base plate to be able to fix everything.

The hull of the King tiger is quite large so a fairly large speaker can fit in there.
After some tests I found the Visaton 7.12 sounded the best (left in the picture)

I still had to make a suitable box for that.
After some measuring and drawing in Fusion360 I printed it on my 3d printer

Now even more nifty features: I admire the convoy light. (Somewhere I have one but have not used it yet.) The packs, so green, became perfectly colored for the desert. And it also looks as if you made your own NiMH battery pack. I wish all the tanks had and on/off switch as accessible and easy-to-use as the one you have installed.

I have a few of these batteries, this one was just bought like that, it's a Xcell 5300 mAh 7.2v.

it's my first tank where I have an on/off switch. this is so easy that I'm now also building it into my other tanks.

That replication of welds next to flame cuts is amazing. Either there is some extremely clever hand-held hot die (and the knife in the earlier photo is to mislead us) or Keere, you are the world's most patient modeler. And those neatly marked containers of hardware suggest the latter.
