Thanks Guido.
The Tiger was my eighth tank. I joined the forum over a year before ever posting. It seemed to me that a majority of folks started with the Tiger. I started with five Sherman variants.

Well look at you jumping on the Kitty bandwagon!
Nice work on the I's deficiencies. You're making it look painless and quick. Especially the turret reposition. Kudos for that. What did you use for the turret lugs? Are you going to mod the turret vision slits? IMHO the HL vision slits are downright lazy abominations.
You're doing solid work with all the bracing, (pun intended). For the plastic HL without turret reposition I didn't find excessive upper hull flex. But my Taigen Metal turret bobs about like a bobble-head. I will be addressing that eventually.
Can't wait to see what you have planned fir the KT too.
Great work as always Eric!

I did the slits. What did I use? I did this so long ago, heck the pictures were still available. I'm sure the lugs were styrene tube capped off with a disc. IF I order aftermarket parts for any of these builds, it will be the first for me. Other than parts gifted by my brother (and various styrene, adhesives, paints and metal stocks), I have always made do with what was on hand to make what I've needed.

A little work on the Tiger today. I've decided on a late build, will look for some new wheels, cupula and a few other late goodies.
And Chef, HL must have changed the moulds (molds USA) at some point. My hatches are fixed and my MG ball is far better than what you started with.

Re: A tale of two Tigers
There's just something cool about the Tiger I without or missing the fenders.
I'm sure Heng Long has changed things and molds over the years. Sometimes for the better, other times...
To open the tank lower hull they changed the position of the screws as well. The older one required removing screws from the sponsons which required removing the tracks. Now it's just 6 screws positioned differently inboard.
Yes, Your MG mount looks quite better than mine. I don't know why they'd change that.
Boy 4-5 tanks at once? I like doing 2 especially after experiencing that "completed" feeling of what's next sadness. But I'd have a hard time keeping track of that many and different models. Keep at it sir.

Oh, I was an ardent one at a time project man, that is until I had the Bixiotomy procedure.

Had a guest today, no idea what it is. The hawks (and Bald Eagles) we have around here are a completely different color. I'm assuming a youngster without adult coloring.

Not calling you a liar (yet) but I have found the chevron tracks, late wheels, late cupula, and drive sprocket caps, BUT nothing on a different idler...
And if I'm trying for authentic Tigers, how many Famos do I need?
