Clip the tapered end of a section of stretched sprue and thread it through the hole to be filled, from the outside. Pull it through until it stops and is snug in the hole. Once set you just cut it flush and a tiny amount of surface filler and sand and it fills perfectly and strong with no shrinkage. Each streched sprue gives tapered ends for two holes.
How dare you insinuate that a modeler doesn't have the right size styrene for the job. What kind of modeler are you all unprepared for such things?

LOL Of course I'm kidding, but that is a good idea. :haha:

I found a person on Ebay that had bulk styrene rods, tubes, 1/2 rounds, bar, hollow square stock, and "I" beams of all shapes sizes - pretty cheap also. Been using what I bought from them for years. Same seller had variety packs of flat styrene stock in all different thicknesses so I bought that from them also to save on shipping.

I have found that you have every size of rod and strip you need in the box - apart from the one you need right now.....

Might be an old age thing though :haha:

No that goes for most items. Be it light bulbs or spare parts for old motor vehicles.

I think the most annoying is when you need something and you know you have it BUT where the H*LL is it.
Part of the Kubel that Will built for me included jerrican racks,
I built one from my Tamiya Kubel kit but I need one for the other wing/fender, can I find it can I heck.

I just experienced this yesterday as I've been looking for the toolbox handles I bought from Special Ops Models. They fit the Bulldog, the Pershing, and the Abrams. For the life of me I can't find them. I even searched my Email to find the invoice to make sure I actually bought them....and I did. Tracking number even shows I got them. For the life of me...can't find them.

This means the moment you purchase replacement parts, the original items will turn up.
