I was on Tank Overhaul. I have it on DVD. If you PM me your address I'll send you a DVD copy gratis. Bob tehcommandernj
PS I got these shot just before the show debuted last fall. I'll try to add some I emailed to Brett in Delaware who battles a Elefant in Danville, VA. We sometimes gang up his IFA Elefant and my IFA Jagdtiger against the Allies and have an all out battle. I have one with the Tahoe infront of the tank and one with him tailgating me......

They mentioned it briefly on Tank Overhaul but the Elefant had 2 engines so I assume this is the tank equivalent of 4x4 ;) Was a good episode but I was a little disappointed they didn't try to get it running.
Just checked the elefant Wikipedia page and thought their reference photo looks familiar :)

I'm not surprise that they didn't try to get it running. The Germans couldn't even keep them running...and they designed it. They had huge DC motors if I recall correctly. Maybe it would run with a long extension cord from a battery bank.

I know how you feel. Whenever I go to Danville, VA, I bring down NYC bagels for the guys. Karen & Bill who own the AAF Tank Museum get a special care package of bagels and a Daily News sometimes to take home. One of these days I'm going to make the guys there chocolate egg cremes.
As far as pizza goes my family and I travel in a motorhome. We were in Tennesee and about 3 weeks into our summer vacation a few years back when we see a big sign for New York style pizza. We begin to salivate like Pavov's dogs. We pull into the lot absorbing the aroma from the ovens. We take a seat and this cute little blond girls comes over and says "Hi y'all". We were undaunted. I asked if they had Sicilian pie. She pauses and says "I'll check". We are watching them make pizza and could hear the oven door slamming and the punding of the fresh dough. Our intrepid waitress returns and promptly states "We just have Apple and Cherry". NY my A**!!! After we got up off the floor we had some decent regular pizza pie. The waitress was very good about it and we gave her a nice tip. She, in return, gave us a bag of pizza crusts for our dog in the RV.
