You see hostility and problems where there are none...
Writing names correctly - especially of people who have helped you - is a way of showing appreciation.
At least that's the way it is in Germany...
Have you asked Seidel by email if they deliver to Austria?
He is a Tamiya dealer and the Tamiya distribution is very careful that Tamiya dealers do not undercut each other or take sales away from each other.
This is questionable from an antitrust point of view.... but they still try to do that.
Seidel is special anyway, when he goes on holiday he takes the website offline without any indication when he will be back or when he will continue...
At the end of the day, we are debating for a decision, that a trader has made for himself.
If he only wants to deliver to his region, one has to accept that in the end.
There is no point in being offended or angry, it only clouds the view...
If you want something badly enough, you will find a way.
I show the most of my appreciation and respect to Xhelfix, which, by the way, I offered him several times free stencils for his help sending that parcel, through private messages and open public. Proof of it is even in bold letters in this website entry since then:
https://radindustries.wordpress.com/202 ... cht-kafer/ You are making a mountain of a simple typing mistake. By the way, it was like three years ago, and that was the first and last time we talked if I am not mistaken. Sorry if I forgot ONE letter on his, for me, already hard to spell, nickname. Yet again, most friends write my nickname wrong being "Suchard" the most common, and yet again, I don't make any problem of it, because I know there is no bad intenction at all from them, neither was from me now, neither will be.
Yes, I asked Seidel via Email several times. Fun fact is I ordered my sherman and some paints from him like 7 years ago, but then I tried to get many parts more from him and his answer was the same "Shipping outside germany is not possible" but never got a why even when I asked several times. I had to order his parts and make him send them to several guys around germany and then to me. Even more, once I made him sent parts to a german guy, then to me, and then to an american great friend of mine. 3 Shippings for an order, jesus.
At the end of the day, I am still wondering why germany is the only european country that I have seen has some sellers (I insist, some, not all) that refuse to ship to the rest of Europe. If I want something badly enough I could even go driving to Germany, but that is not the point. Not everybody can do that, neither can afford double shipping, neither have a friend that can make them a favour. Because I am not talking about hobby tank parts, but any kind of products.
Another example: Many things of what amazon.de sells, is not shipped to Austria. From tools to asian noodles.
As another example, another friend got one tool at Lidl supermarket in Spain, I think the brand was Parkside or something like that. He needed a replacement part, so he contacted the brand, and oh surprise, they wont ship the part outside germany. This friend contacted me years ago asking me if I could get it from here, but it was not possible neither. The tool ended in the bin. Examples like that, are loads, everyday.
I guess you won't understand it until you suffer it in your own skin.
Hope an actual seller or guy who knows the laws comes here and throws us some light.
