My hot end maxes out at 250 so PA12 isn't an option. I think there might be a hotter hot end that I can get for my Qidi i-Mates as there is a hotter one for the X-Max. Some of the same parts fit both printers.

Imo for something like this, a more ductile material like PETG or Nylon would be better than either ABS or PLA which are both fairly hard and brittle. PETG also offers the advantage of being printable on a normal printer with very little issues vs Nylon or ABS/ASA.

My i-Mates is enclosed and I've already printed ASA and ABS with really good results. Haven't tried PETG or Nylon yet. I would want to pick up a filament dryer if I was going to print with nylon.
