i spent 8 weeks planning researching building and painting the model that i binned the W%N varnish sprayed on great until it dried, it looked like someone had lightly rubbed over it with a candle, i took it back to ward graphics and showed the girl behind the counter what happened and she explained to me that the wax finish is normal and is to protect the artwork from dust and light which when i thought about it seems a fair explanation.

you paint a picture put it in a frame then you may want it protected" seems logical really, things got even more awkward when she asked what i had been painting  ;D.......................oz

the conversation went a bit like this ( if i remember right )

her, what did you paint ?   me, a tank   her, a tank A BIG TANK!!!   me, no a model,   she then went to talk to another member of staff and told him she had a model who likes to paint big tanks standing at the counter, the guy walks over and politely asks what kind of big tank is it and their varnishes are really only for paintings/pictures, then he had the nerve to ask where do i keep my tank  >:( i think it was at this stage my wife took my arm and lead me out of the shop.
