O I see, do I need anything for the rear of the upper deck to lock into the lower hull?

There are two smaller metal items. One is seen on the left.

Yes you do. It all comes with a new lower hull.
Mind you the system was designed for the early HL upper hull with a single post at the front. The later hulls come with two posts. So you need to make the plate flat and then screw through the plastic with a countersunk screw. Then some filler on top.

Here’s some photos of “Ol’ Ugly” (my pet name for my beloved Initial Production Tiger).
It shows the metal tab that must be attached to the HL upper deck and slot in the Taigen lower hull. The metal tab is screwed and glued.
I was also compelled to show the wear and tear on my lower hull’s bow from years of serious maneuvers over rocks, bricks, roots, gravel and creek crossings. Holy Cow! I’ve patched some holes and cracks with epoxy resin as needed. I’ve contemplated a thin sheet of brass to cover it but what the hell. The old girl deserves her service badges.

Your pics are a great help!!!! Does the screw go from the inside out or the outside in?
