I salute conservers and restorers.

The same goes for 'Living History' groups!.

They're like the wandering minstrels, and acting troupes (of 'Mystery' plays etc.,) from the mediaeval period.
Without their enthusiasm and dedication (and the occasional spot of eccentricity), history would only be found in books, TV documentaries, and also in (often inaccurate) popular movies.
Living History groups create history in living 3D.

Thank you for your comments about my vehicles and our living history group. It was great at the time, we did WW2 dances, fairs and fetes, carnivals etc. One of the best was ‚ War on the Line‘ at Ropley on the Watercress line, in Hampshire . We had to escort a number of German POW‘s on the train from one end to the other, then ferry them back in the Jimmy, and start over again.
The Germans really acted the part, including escape attempts, feigning illness, etc. Until some British reenactors with blank firing mg‘s shot a couple of Germans. The public were most amused.
Only a bit of fun lol
