Re: Lion Battery suggestions?
My mistake totally different. Had a look at how the packs are made up, the only danger is using a soldering iron . The preferred method is spot welding strips to the battery. they don't like a build up of heat, most recommend a high powered soldering iron for a fast joint.
Re: Lion Battery suggestions?
I try to be quick with the heat when making up my battery packs. I’m not sure if it really helps but I wrap a cool wet paper towel around the battery when I solder. Poor man’s heat sink.
So far my batteries have worked very well.

Is there a way to know what capacity you end up with? I made a battery once but the cells did not state mah. I assumed it was 1500mah.

I’m not sure about that. Sounds like a Rad question.

Yes, fully discharge the battery, charge it, and in the charger screen you will see how many Mahs you put inside.RenoirLV wrote:Is there a way to know what capacity you end up with? I made a battery once but the cells did not state mah. I assumed it was 1500mah.

Informative video. Guess I’ll be sticking with name brand batteries.

Personally, I opted for 21700. 21 corresponds to the diameter, 70 to the length of the elements. More autonomy for a format barely bigger, that suits me! On the NKON site, you can ask to have pre-welded metal legs, which prevents the elements from overheating.

Re: Lion Battery suggestions?
If you put together two of those will it be 4000mAh? That’s a crazy number for that size.
