I really hope your pantjob does not come off while you're working the decals.
Try with a bit of water on a spot which is not directly visible on the JP.
If it comes off, it is your call to proceed and repaint or leave it the way it is......
Besides that, no need using a huge amount of water on the decals I think.
Just dry to wet the decal only, maybe with a cotton tip or so?
Maybe you can save the paintjob
