Yeah, the steel ones. It doesnt affect the tank as much as you'd think, honestly.Son of a gun-ner wrote:Even the new replacement set of boxes?

Well, when I got your old boxes, I noticed the drive shafts are exactly the same length.AshMann wrote:Yeah, the steel ones. It doesnt affect the tank as much as you'd think, honestly.Son of a gun-ner wrote:Even the new replacement set of boxes?
Maybe your chassis isn't quite right on the left (viewed from the rear)

Re: mato metal tracks for the HL sherman
I think you should. Put those new steel gearboxes in it and try the metal sprockets on them.

Re: mato metal tracks for the HL sherman
I could try that, probably after i get the other parts of the sherman running, as it would take me a while to take out the gearboxesSon of a gun-ner wrote:I think you should. Put those new steel gearboxes in it and try the metal sprockets on them.

Re: mato metal tracks for the HL sherman
Oh, ok. I would be very interested in the results.
With your problem tank, the plastic running gear was ok, maybe with the metal being slightly wider, and knowing your gearboxes are ok, it could very well be the chassis causing this problem.

Re: mato metal tracks for the HL sherman
Was it only on the same side on both chassis?

Re: mato metal tracks for the HL sherman
If I remember correctly, you only had this problem on the one side, even when you swapped the sprockets around, hence originally thinking there was a gearbox problem.
