I must be the odd one out ive had no problems, items have always arrived in reasonable time usually 5-7 days.
On a different tack a friend has ordered a radio control plane from a vendor, paid then got a phone call saying at the price they would make a loss and would he pay another 10%.hows that for false advertising.

Thankfully there are other vendors out there so people now have a choice. I myself have cocked up on ebay advertised things i thought i had but had sold out. In which case as soon as i realised i contacted the vendor to see whether they would mind waiting or preferred a full refund after all it was my mistake. If your honest with your customers they do come back. And i know i am one of three on ebay who i would i trust for parts others are forgbear and welshdragon.

I just had a bad experience with another shop. I've heard nothing but good things about AFV Model from Germany. They are the only place to get two items I wanted(I recently saw that Tankzone has one of them for more than twice the price - resales).

Both items were listed as in stock and ships in 3-5 days. I placed and paid for the order on June 2nd. This last Saturday I had to send them an email stating if it wasn't shipped by today(Tuesday) that a dispute would be filed with Paypal(Boy did that get their attention). Low and behold it shipped yesterday(Monday). On top of that, I stated in my order that I wanted it shipped by air(their normal shipping is by boat) and I wanted a tracking number. I didn't get my tracking order and I'm willing to bet its getting loaded on a boat as I type this. Oh and they charge 32 Euros for anything, no matter how small, to the US, which is what they charged me fore shipping further reinforcing my thought that it is indeed going by boat.

This was a pretty big order too, over $600USD. I'll never by from them again, I'll make copies of what I bought if I need more. 3 to 5 days has no excuse what so ever to turn into 27 days, especially followed by severe lack of service or ability to follow instructions.

The only reason I bought from Tankzone was because they were the only supplier in the UK selling this particular part. And I thought as im buying one thing from them why not order a couple more.

I have to admit their service in the past has usually been good, but these are parts I need, and have to put bits of my build on hold while im waiting for the parts.

Cheers,
Rik

I absolutely agree with Militarymight - he provides excellent service as does Welsh Dragon and Forgbear.
I have used Tankzone too, but their prices are not as competitive, and some of the cast parts are grim - I bought the C hooks and fixings and the fixings were nothing like the real thing.  The C hooks were bolemic too and I had to feed them up on filler to look right.
On the flipside though, he advertises a lot of parts others don't have and at least in my case delivery was prompt and service was OK.

Anyone any experience (good or bad) to share regarding Axels Modellbau shop?

The reason i started militarymightuk is because I wanted to give people with the same interest as myself more choice and value for money and great service that i would come to expect if i was purchasing items.
Im not the fastest at shipping or responding to emails that is due to my full time job a victorian house im trying to renovate and wanting to spend quality time with my 3 kids who i only see a couple of times a week. I do post 2 to 3 times a week and do try to respond to questions within the week. Another reason i sell the items is because i love this hobby and really want to help fellow enthusiastes. Am i in it for the money, I Wish, I defintely couldnt give up my day job especially in the current climate as sales have dropped considerably. Which i fully understand as whats worth more paying the mortgage or purchasing the Sherman.
Tankzone i havent had a problem with so far i have bought stuff myself  , and they have all arrived very promptly. With my web site i will be labelling clearly the items that will need special ordering and approx delivery times. To make customers wait after they have paid over a month with no contact is totally wrong.
