Your idea could involve a reduction gear box,like on modern conveyor system,chain drives reduction box, output shaft drives a wench? It would all depend on HP AND REDUCTION.Possibly something assembled in the field,who really knows how creative these guys were? Situation dictates design? Any way I like your creative handy work.Sax
