I always check to see how snug the sprocket fits on the axle and if it too tight I take a file to the flat portion of the axle. File a little, test fit, repeat as needed until the sprocket slides on and off with ease.

Fitting the sprocket back on is a matter of sliding the inner section of the sprocket as far along the shaft as it will go making sure that the "D" shape shaft end matches the "D" shape of the sprocket then align the outer section of the sprocket with the inner and slide it as far as it will go then screw the Hex Bolt into the end of the shaft and tighten this will bring both parts of the sprocket together.

Done. I actually asked Taigen support for this and they sent me the same link to a Tiger tank GB replacement I saw a few replies ago. I don't have a hammer or those really small screwdrivers, so I had a particularly strong dormmate of mine yank them out for me. Looking at the gears and everything, it's all okay. No scratches or cracks in the drive shafts. It's all good.
Now I just have to wait for the new gearboxes.

Put the secondary sprocket back on, so it aligns with the indent, or "D". Once it's on, reattach the other parts with the screws and the hex bolt back on. Move them once they're on to see if they work.

So after hammering like a madman I managed to loosen one sprocket..... yet the other one wont budge even when hammered like a lunatic....

Update:

Hammered like a blacksmith and it eventually loosened

Yeah........ it sure escalated quickly from Erik's (Taigen video guy) recommended " few light taps".

Make a couple of wedges from wood or any other stiff material.
Place them both in behind the sprocket and against the hull, to really load the sprocket.
Get a pin punch that fits the inside diameter of the sprocket & whack it with something.
If the wedges become loose, then drive them in harder & go again.
It will come off.

Before you reinstall the drive sprockets take a look at the axle from the end. It should look like a D. Carefully run a file across the flat side and check for fit. Repeat until the sprocket easily slides on and off before fully seating it on the axle.

Should have seen this message before I push it in so much that the damn wheel does not want to come off any more.
