OK, well thanks to Ad lav and Lee I'm happy to report it's all working! Turret motor was disconnected, on / off switch had been cut and twisted together. Once I sorted that the trims needed setting and the throttle gimmick turning off and we were good to go. God is it loud! Where's the volume control btw? Thanks for everyone's help guys, I really appreciate it.

Glad you are getting it sorted Rocket  if you look on the tamiya dmd/mfu units inside there is a little circle plastic srew there with a slot in it which you can turn with a small screwdriver, that is the volume control

Cheers, Lee.

OK lads, next question then.

Headlights flash when the gun fires....is this right?

No recoil? All plugs seem to be in but no twang wid da boom?

It should recoil. If you open up the manual pdf and check the dmd settings.

Reset it and start again.

Always welcome to pop over if you get stuck mate, happy to help.

Have fb messaged you the details mate. If you get stuck I'll do a video of the kv as it's the same to get it moving/lights etc.

Cheers Ad. It's gonna sit behind the Chally build so I might bring her down to the next SEAG meet and let you take a look then. The rear light cable has been eaten by the gear box but I can't make the headlights work at all apart from flashing when the gun fires which I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do? Recoil is still dead and all the cables look connected correctly. I'll download and print off the manual tomorrow.
Never mind though, still a stonking bargain for a ton.
