Clive o3 for what it's worth,
your's looks much better than the one I just bought,
if I had seen it before I bought this one then ( I do wish that I had found this forum before I got my other Tanks )
I would have gone for it for sure,
the main reason is I would like mine to be cammed up etc but I know I'm no good at such
that's a good looking Tiger
Ps I know very little about Tanks
I would not dream of altering it

in my opinion

Thanks Stewart ,I do have a good collection of rc tanks and I will be airbrushing this one as well .I repainted a life size raptor dinosaur which was a lot harder than any tank I have painted .Your tiger's barrel is in recoil position and you can buy a correct barrel .There are plenty of tankers on here who would help you with their knowledge .
It is a good hobby to get into and a good excuse to hide from the fuhrer ( My pet name for my wife )

I would say your first and most important mod will be decent gearboxes. If that tank has metal gears it's a fairly safe bet they're zinc, and good steel or brass gears are one of the best things you can do to one of these models.

It looks like the Tiger from the WSN/Torro T34/Tiger two-pack entry-level i.r. battle tanks.
I have the T34, and was pleasantly surprised by the details and tech in it. It's bloody loud too with the stock little speaker. And it's a F1 racer..

That's not exactly what I expected.. It goes easily twice as fast as my other tanks.
Even with the kitchy-looking 2.4 TX it feels as if all steering of tower, gun, tracks etc. is fully proportional, and the range is impressive too (especially when compared to HL's 27mhz garbage).
Only réal drawback is that it won't produce more than one sound at a time. Fire gun: no motor sound. rotate turret: no motor sound. Odd, but understandable. It's not bad in all its simplicity. Its control-scheme, on the other hand, is infuriating, especially when used to steering with one stick, and moving turret with the other..Torro mixed it half half.. máddening!
Tbh. I was impressed by the sound quality of both available sound-settings (there's a switch on the little mother board to choose between the Tiger's petrol- and the T34's Diesel engine. Nifty..) something Heng Long is only now offering when the T90 is released.
Funny discovery:
I can trigger it's "death animation" and battle-wait/reset state with the "stop" on my Samsung blu-ray remote..

There's a button on a Sony remote that will kill Tamiya tanks, and someone came up with the idea of getting a pair of remotes and a Godzilla suit and taking a stroll through Danville. Personally I think that would be hilarious, but I think I'd be in the minority with that opinion.
