If I had got it from RCTANK.DE 'edition' it would ( if I pay'd a little extra) come With the black all bb's gearboxes. But a local shop in Norway started selling the Torro line, and I got a good deal for my first buy ( 10% off ) so that alone + saving shipping from Germany will, when they brake, add up to a pr of those black ones

It came in the wooden Box, only Torro stamp on the front.

But what I could want for this is maybe one of those New DKLM-RC gearboxes. But still only for moder'n tanks, and still only for use With Clark

From what I understand, it is built like the modern line gearbox from tamiya . one motor for driving and one for turning etc.

They are slowly building up Stock, but some of them might ( ore not, I'm not 100% sure ) be built on order.

I belive this one has the pre prod unit of this type of gearbox

That DKLMRC place has some cool stuff on their website; has anyone on here ordered from him before?

I wonder if that gearbox could handle a 25lb tank off road?

I replaced the gearbox in my KT with the 4:1 steel and I honestly didn't notice any difference (If the gear ratio had changed that would have certainly been noticeable though with the 4:1)..the real difference was going from those little stock motors to the 480 motors.

Steel gearboxes don't strip like the pot metal ones do. Full bearings is quieter then just bushings. Add to that the 480 motors and you get quiet, smooth, powerful and dependable.
