Quick question I have a remote boat which I use to drop my bait at over 100 yards . Why does my tank loose comms at such a short distance.. Once again this is a new hobby for me and I have to pick your brains .... So thanks for your input . Sorry the boat is used for fishing on big lakes mainly for carp in Essex .

I will get some new batts for the handset but just wondered what the distance is for a heng long pro tank . I had a great idea whilst under the influence of alchohol of fitting a camera to the front of the tank so I could drive it whilst sitting indoors with the camera view on my tv

What kind of tank you got Blue?

Camera's have been fitted in tanks quite a bit...check on Youtube...some are pretty ingenious in their mount ;)

OK...Don't want to deprive anyone of any TV time :haha:
Spoiler: show

turret mounted cameras are the most common...there are a couple where the owners mounted them using the driver's port for viewing...will keep an eye out for those...couldn't find them today

I have a hl tiger 1 pro and a hl tiger 2 pro .... Next will be an allied tank... Fancy the camera thing but the range is to short so that's why I asked what range I should expect mine both have plug in crystals , these are all things that I'd like to do in the future. When it eventually stops raining in this country

Crystal range is anywhere from 25 to 50 ft....2.4 is twice the max of the Crystal units ....the reason I got different results with the crystal units is because I used to mess with the antenna length...Switching the majority of my tanks to 2.4 is much better...plus you can put the tank areal in a more realistic spot at realistic length ;)
