Came in the mail today.....something new to me...Russian made ZVEZDA Js2

Made in Russia...Russian Instructions

...Looks pretty good....will see how it fits together
Plastic is on the thin side...no inner plastic packaging....and some parts broke loose...so will have to build this one right away

Zvezda is interesting. I have never build any, but boy they have some really cool russian stuff that no one else makes.

Turning out to be a pretty nice brand Michael
This is as far as I got

Have to admit...Though it looked to be a relatively easy build ...it really wasn't
The kit is so very basic.. like it was meant for a beginner .....but as soon as you start assembly you find there are challenges to overcome...some things that would be above a beginner's skill level
So far the casting is darn good...if you notice the fender supports ...they are very close to the thickness of PE ...the fenders are also pre tapered on the edges to give the illusion of thin steel...the turret was a tad tricky...the junction between the turret body and the gun mount didn't quite match...but solution was found...and it looks ok without the use of fillers
It's a rather long story to the reason I had to assemble these major components first ...but I'll save that for later lol
All in all I'm starting to like this brand....as you said...they have a lot of cool Soviet armor...the castings are good...and the price is a lot lower that others
the only drawback I would say is that most of the models come from the Russian Federation....the other is ...I guess the Russian Federation doesn't have much in the way of plastic bags so the parts can be packaged in them

This came in on Monday

This was supposed to come on Monday....but came yesterday...because the post office sent it to the wrong Hub

This one I have built already... I had to because upon opening the box...found the original kit was merged with another Tamiya Sherman
some parts were loose ...so I had to find out if a completed tank could be made
Turned out fine...everything was there plus a whole bunch of extra parts lol
