I managed to source the metal gear sets, however they were a mare to fit and very, very noisy when running. To be honest, IMHO I wouldn't bother with these.

You may want to raise the tank off of the table with blocks, use a good gear lube on them, and just run them. They will probably quiet down after some break in time. I'm slowly replacing the gear boxes in my Taigen tanks with the new V2 gear boxes. Bearings, not bushings on all of the shafts. I run them in a drill motor for a half hour or so, clean them of the dirty lube and relube.
