so no sand or to much dirt, how do you go about cleaning it once it gets dirty? im waiting for the weather to dry up a littlejackalope wrote:The MG42 would be mounted on the commanders cupola IF it were a mid or late production Tiger, however yours is an early model and the cupola doesn't have the mounting points. Not sure how you'd add one but I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable members will let you know what you can do.
As to running it in the wet you need to be careful not to allow the electronics in the lower hull to get wet. Running through a shallow puddle won't hurt it anything so long as the water doesn't get above the split in the hull. Also don't let it sit in water for too long as water can seep in through where the drive sprockets pass through the hull. I'll run my Tiger's or King Tiger through small puddles, shallow streams and snow but I'm careful with them for the above mentioned reasons.
Also BEWARE of sand after you get the tank wet, wet sand is like cement to the tracks and gums them up causing thrown tracks or blown gearboxes. Its best to just stay away from sand altogether! Dirt is ok but again don't let the tracks get too filled with dirt cause it'll do the same thing as sand. Watch trying to do 360 spins in grass the tracks don't like that. I'm sure you'll figure it all out, this may seem like a lot of warnings but they're still a hell of a lot of fun!
Running them through the woods won't hurt anything nor will running them outside you just need to take care and remember it is a toy tank.
360 spins sounds like fun lol
