Not sure how you'd add one but I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable members will let you know what you can do.

As to running it in the wet you need to be careful not to allow the electronics in the lower hull to get wet. Running through a shallow puddle won't hurt it anything so long as the water doesn't get above the split in the hull. Also don't let it sit in water for too long as water can seep in through where the drive sprockets pass through the hull. I'll run my Tiger's or King Tiger through small puddles, shallow streams and snow but I'm careful with them for the above mentioned reasons.

Also BEWARE of sand after you get the tank wet, wet sand is like cement to the tracks and gums them up causing thrown tracks or blown gearboxes. Its best to just stay away from sand altogether! Dirt is ok but again don't let the tracks get too filled with dirt cause it'll do the same thing as sand. Watch trying to do 360 spins in grass the tracks don't like that. I'm sure you'll figure it all out, this may seem like a lot of warnings but they're still a hell of a lot of fun!

Running them through the woods won't hurt anything nor will running them outside you just need to take care and remember it is a toy tank. ;)
so no sand or to much dirt, how do you go about cleaning it once it gets dirty? im waiting for the weather to dry up a little
360 spins sounds like fun lol

so can i get a mounted MG34? or did they not have them
i did not know i could get a late tiger any links to them guys?

I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Although it seems finished, you'll soon get the bug to start adding and or modifying it to your own personal taste.

I'm not sure if yours is the same with the on/off switch under the drivers assistants hatch?
My first mod was to re-locate the volume & smoke on/off switch to under the drivers hatch, saves opening the tank each time then.

Enjoy it!
mine is allready under that hatch, i just cant charge mine from the back got to take the top off all the time
would like to mod it so i dont

Thats LOOSE dirt, just be careful. It ever the tanks seems to get jammed or won;t run right DO NOT FORCE IT to run, stop and check things out. Better safe then ordering new gearboxes.

On an early model Tiger no there is no way to mount a machine gun the cupola. You can swap the cupola for a later model one that comes with a MG34 but then your Tiger would be consuidered a mid-production Tiger and no longer an early one. Nothing wrong with that if thats what you want. Send a PM to a member named Forgebear and ask him how much for a commanders cupola with machine gun from him, he's a vendor and a great guy to deal with. He got me my cupola and machine gun set up for my King Tiger which uses the same one as your Tiger for the mid to late builds.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is a fair bit more to changing your early Tiger 1 to a Mid or Late version than just changing the cupola.
The Turret roof was altered in the later models at least twice and the roof vents were moved, again depending on which version affects where they went, also the gun port and escape hatch were moved and altered.
Indeed you might be better off buying a late model Turret that incorporates these changes but if you do you would also need to change the Road wheels to the later type, as you see nothing is easy or indeed cheap.
If it were me, working on the certain knowledge that I would have more than one Tank I would simply buy a late model Tiger 1 from Dave at Forgebear or RC tank DE. that would complement the early Tiger 1.
Go on spend your money who will it hurt? Apart from your partner and the bank manager that is. :haha: :haha: :haha: shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I thought mid production Tigers could still use the rubber rimmed road wheels, you're saying mid Tigers need to swap to the all metal road wheels?

Jack Hi. The Mid model Tiger 1 was a transitory vehicle, for instance 503 Heavy Panzer Abteilung in April 1944 had late turrets and late cupolas and LATE wheels, Yet 508 Heavy Panzer Abteilung in Spring 1944 had late turrets and late cupolas with EARLY wheels, 510 Heavy (ARMY) Panzer Abteilung had late turret, late cupola, with LATE wheels in July 1944, but at the same time SS Panzer Abteilung 101 had late turret, late cupola but EARLY wheels.
You take your choice but I seem to see more Mid Tiger 1s with late wheels than early. I cannot help wondering if the factory was just trying to get rid of old stock. :haha: shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The term "mid Tiger" is a modern name. It refers to a Tiger that has the later cupola type, but the earlier wheels. About 450 such Tigers were produced.

Cool thanks guys. So op you can still use your road wheels just change some turret details.

Or yours could be one that had been fitted with the later cupola in the field due to either damage or just a field upgrade. Your tank, up to you.

He can do whatever he wants. But I'm here to tell you what the actual Tigers were like, if you're interested.

Turning OP's tank into a Mid would need more than a new cupola.
