Dang I should have got one when I was there....that was more that a few years ago...and tools were the last thing on my mind

By the way...that fret saw....is the back bow solid or hollow

yes I think also, doesn't really matter, but so you've a better feeling for yourself. To be old is one thing, to be good is a better thing.

To your question: I'm quite sure that the bow is actually a little steel pipe (around 10 mm diameter) which was squeezed together at their ends - hence hollow...

So very true Hotte...people can question...but can never change how you feel about yourself

Thanks Hotte...have to say..after seeing your fret saw....and the depth it can get ... I'm inspired to make one ...coping saws are way too shallow ...the blade would be the trick...but I think I might be able to use xacto coping saw or jig saw blades...just because they are shorter than most
