Re: DMDvsIBU2
I know most of the forum members lean toward the IBU
, but another board which never seems to get a mention is the DBC3/Benedini package....

Thanks Eastern, I think you may of misunderstood what I meant, my fault probably for not explaining it properly...I do not have spare DMDs the ones I have are already being used..I was asking if I bought a static Tamiya would the Ibu2 be as good as using the DMD units...Pro's and cons ect..
Hope that's clear now...
Thanks
Jake

Hey Big Joe
I have had a look at the Benedini before, always seems way to complicated, especially for someone with my knowledge of electronics...maybe if I was a member of a club and could see someone elses up and running and have explained to me, I might be more wiling to spend the money on the package...

That's a fair point Jake, and as the founder of a RC tank club also sells the Ibu, you could assume, rightly, that the support would be better for that.

I really don't understand why the companies who produce the after market products can not take an hour or so out of their day and produce a very solid easy to understand how to video on you tube on how to install their product...surly it would be good for business.....Its all very well showing these products working but whats the point if the consumer is put off by the installation...

Re: DMDvsIBU2
Hi Jake, I totally agree indeed I would go further and say that HENG LONG/TAMIYA/TAIGEN/TORRO et al could all save this and other forum a lot of mail by down loading all one needs to know to get the best from their product, I am thinking of complicated things like how to open up a Tank, what is the best thing to lubricate the gears, how to tension tracks and all the other things that most of us have to learn the hard way.
shaun

I think I am about to upset someone

fireman Tim did just that with the slu and it made life much easier! The ibu instructions are pretty good though.
