I think the issue is tamiya just didn't have the stock at that time. It's a pain but what can you do!

I must just say that I'm a BIG fan of tamiya and always have been since they first came into GB that was way back in the late 60 I have built I should think most of there 1/35th armor in the years up till now with no problems so far. But when you start on there RC bit that's where the problems are!! Some of the time we used to have loads of model shops around but sadly they have all gone under one by one. So now as you all rightly say we have to go far and wide for our parts. It's nice to have someone like Dave to ask and he can get your parts 99.99% of the time. Yes it's a pain to have to wait but we should be used to that here. Having said that I sent for the hachette 17 pounder gun and turret yesterday from lock loman in Scotland and it turned up this morning how bad is that

8 or more weeks ago, bits from Tamiya were ordered thru forgebear for the e sprue and turret ete to complete IDFm51 shermans now dave has chased these parts the last 3 weeks because eta arrived, and went ,we have since learnt they will be a the bear,s Tuesday ? then to me Friday, monday ?this then puts it at nigh on ten weeks I ask you ,to use a frase from the colonies it freeking sucks ,what is req is for the likes of hl mato to do after market bits and a hvss suspension to be able to fit to the mato hull , then more scope for the shermanholics out there
one is not amused as our late queen victoria used to say ......wot wot ......

I know how you feel man I know how you feel. Been a good month now waiting for parts for my King Tiger from Dave but the stuff is coming from China on a mule, a 3 legged one at that and the driver is blind so it takes longer. And to think thats 1st class from China!
Not Dave's fault I blame all of China!

Having ordered parts to full models over the last few years from Europe, USA, Hong Kong and Australia I've never had to wait more than 10 to 15 days for my stuff to arrive at my door via air mail. In fact it sometimes takes longer to travel from the point of arrival in the UK to my door than it does to travel half the world to the UK.
Having said that waiting for 10 weeks + is seriously extracting the urine whatever the reason for the delay. If i were you canned I would really consider contacting Tamiya direct and putting in an offical complaint about the very poor customer service you and your supplier have recived from them.
