EBAY???????????? why 8O She's coming out great....But hey if it helps get you more tanks...you gotta do what you gotta do ;)
I almost started on mine again.... but decided I'd go in a different direction... finish off a Panther I have.... then attempt a Porsche tiger
tough doing research on that one... not many helpful links or photos that I've found yet...but it does seem like a viable build...without buying the Elephant kit :D
Will be sad to see this one go

Have a good one fynsdad

I can see where you're coming from fynsdad...sometimes I have the same thoughts when I look at my own collection... It's nice to have a lot of tanks...but you can really only play with one at a time ...with you.. you also have your sons to think of so other priorities come into the picture
At least you know you finally did it... and you can always make another

Have a great Day fynsdad

Not sure if it is the angle of the photo, but the top of the turret looks too high at the front - almost horizontal.
The real tank looks to have more of a curved turret top.

As i said, cant say for sure, but I agree with Alpha about the profile.

Sorry to nag mate, but we are picky sods here.

It still looks great and 1000% better than i could do from scratch.

Cheers

fynsdad wrote:yep. I agree. As soon as the nose went on I noticed it. Not sure how much I can get it down as the elevation motor is sqeezed in there, it may be a case of lowering the front a little and raising the middle section but I'm going to do a little alteration to keep the "masters" happy... :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
Masters????...I'm no master... but... that Chaffee is my favorite tank ImageImage...so things must be just right Image.....................Image

Seriously though fynsdad... there should be a drop right where the front plate meets the turret...
Image
your gun opening is fine... it just seems to be missing that little drop... which defines the upper "edge" of the turret
But as I said...it might be there ...it's hard to tell because of the color of the filler.. so for all I know...the true MASTER...has already done it perfectly as usual Image

Carpe Diem fynsdad

Keep on rolling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Image
