I would go for hobbyking. They will be cheaper than anyone else and they're pretty good service wise.

Hello John... thought I should jump into this before you make a big mistake....don't buy a so called smart charger for a nicd .... they are stupid... they are programed to a set 2 hour charge which in general is not enough to fully saturate the battery's core.... the standard drip charger plugged into a device timer is much better and more efficient... as a 7.2 standard battery would require at least 4 to 5 hours of initial charge... to which I might add... will require you to discharge before recharging it again...to which a smart charger will never do the job properly

Now .. a few tips to see if your battery is charging... at the two hour point grab it...feel if it's warm... if it is not... something is wrong... check the connectors.. make sure the plugs are secure by pushing and pulling on the perspective wires on both the charger and the battery... as I have found through experience that on occasion the lead can sometimes be installed from the factory improperly placed.... meaning the pins do not make contact
To fix this... if you don't own the tool... use a jewelry screwdriver look for the pin locks through the plastic ..push them inward and remove the pin...check the hole in the plastic... rebend the locking tabs (outwards) and push the pin back in till it locks in place

If that doesn't work... then either your charger is no good or your battery... the way to troubleshoot that is to take another battery that performed ok... and charge that with the charger you mention... and charge the battery that you mention on a different charger
If the battery in mention receives and holds the charge it's good... get rid of the charger if it doesn't get rid of the battery ... If the second battery doesn't receive a charge ..get rid of the charger ...if it does throw the first one away
Now if both charge...and hold the charge ... it's the connection... go back the the steps I mention in troubleshooting....and if you run into the problem again... mark the battery and charger ... and don't pair them up again

Good luck
