Hello Michael , there is a late turret conversion for a KV1c - http://www.store-juckenburg.de/index.ph ... =producton
A KV2 is pretty simple too .
P.S. Removing the extra armour isn't too hard to do , just trim back the attachment stubs inside the hull/turret and use a largish screwdriver to lever them off . The frontal armour ( which is undersized anyway ) can be a bit tougher because of the HL glue fairy , but is not a monster job . Oh , for a hollow gun barrel , how about a section of fishing rod ?
Great work so far mate , keep it up !
to the bouncy room ! Yay !

blimp, thanks for the link. I actually don't like the KV-1C/KV-1S look, and I have been spending way too much money on Christian's stuff....... The KV-85 already cost me a bundle and I just order the Nashorn kit from him today...... More $$$ and euro to boot. Not as bad as BP but the way Cdn$ is doing they are all bad.

A little update. As blimp said, the extra armour coming off is much easier than I had anticipated. I didn't even nip the glue bit in the back, but just slowly pray them off. The easiest is actually the lower hull armour believe it or not. Now I have the Taigen hull which has a plastic tub and a metal tub. I would imagine that if it is just the plastic tub it will be more difficult.

Here are the pics for the hull with the two turrets:

The KV-1 turret doesn't look too bad with the extra large turret ring but this baby is going to be mostly KV-122 anyway. Hopefully once the colour is in it will blend in more.

Final update to this........ Replace the barrel with a conically correct one from Frank in Germany, change over to late model road bogies, completely re-did the servo recoil and also replace the muzzle brake with the one from Carson at DKLM. Final weathering by dgsselkirk. Last picture is its stable mate KV-1 that uses the same chassis.

Thanks guys, and thanks Michael, that Jukenburg turret is really nice and was fun to weather...Overall there were over 550 individual bolts to black pin wash and then highlight! Took a while.... LOL!
