Fantastic build! It perfectly captures a German tank desperately trying to hold on to Berlin.

I especially love the armoured covers on the grills. When did they add them to the Tigers?

@grim_marmazet - The armoured grills were tried out on the King Tiger (though never officially approved) after they'd stopped production of the Tiger 1. So it's a field mod done by the crew who are doing everything they can to keep their Tiger going. I've read that tank crews were always modding their tanks so I thought that maybe this crew had seen a TII with armoured covers and thought they'd try it with theirs. Also I wanted it to look a little different to all the other Tigers.

I repainted the covers to make them look like rusted sheets of metal-

Im working on a late Tiger 1 . Ive never seen this type of mod to the engine grills very good and different .
