Re: Tiger re-rebuild
Fantastic build! It perfectly captures a German tank desperately trying to hold on to Berlin.
I especially love the armoured covers on the grills. When did they add them to the Tigers?
Cheers,
Rik

great work on your Berlin Tiger Woz, A credit to your skills as a modeller
Re: Tiger re-rebuild
Thanks
@grim_marmazet - The armoured grills were tried out on the King Tiger (though never officially approved) after they'd stopped production of the Tiger 1. So it's a field mod done by the crew who are doing everything they can to keep their Tiger going. I've read that tank crews were always modding their tanks so I thought that maybe this crew had seen a TII with armoured covers and thought they'd try it with theirs. Also I wanted it to look a little different to all the other Tigers.
I repainted the covers to make them look like rusted sheets of metal-
