Got a question about the IR unit on top of the tanks

Post by BIGMIG »

Don't take this wrong or throw rocks at me for asking or commenting here.Is there not a way to hide that big ugly IR unit that is allways placed in the coupola of the battle tanks.I don't have any tank with this system or realy know much about them, other than they ruin the over-all look of your tanks.I believe they are made so you can just unplug them and mabe have easy access,or swap them into other tanks.???? I think it would even help a lot if they were at least painted to match the tank. All the trouble I see on the forum to get everything right on a tank to match a particular model and then one of these ugly units get stuck on top of a otherwise darn good looking tank.Is there not a good way to build in this unit and try to hide it and make it not so noticeable. ?????  Just wondering ???

Hello guys, glad to see this is being taken the way I ment it to be.I allways thought it was a shame to see such great work being done on these tanks, painting and modds---Then a big ugly unit setting on top of the tank.I have in the past seen a few posts on hidding this unit.I will go look at the one you posted above.

Just went and looked at this job that  " Grompix " has done, absolutely fantastic work-- ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I knew I had seen a few posts about hiding these units.I can't watch any of the youtube stuff posted on this lousy stone age dial-up system I'm on,it takes 20 min to load a 2 min segment and then only see movement a few seconds at a time in between pauses. They do now have broadband avaible in my area, just haven't switched over yet.
