1/24 T90 question

1/24 T90 question

Hi,I wonder if anyone has any experience of the electrics of the hen long T90 1/24 scale tank.Due to a bad back and dodgy hands I find the on/off switch a bit fiddly,so I decided to fit an toggle switch on the outside top somewhere,but there is three wires to the on/off switch.Two are red (power in & out to the circuit board) but one is black which also goes to the circuit board.The red (to circuit board) and the black are connected together when the tank is switched off does anyone know why?.
