Re: Decals
Hi, If you strip your tank down you can then wash all the plastic NOT THE METAL parts in brake fluid, it will not harm the plastic but the paint with the aid of a toothbrush will just disappear, do wear gloves and do not flush brake fluid into the sink. this will of course remove the decals and after you have washed the fluid off completely then off you go to HALFORDS and buy a big can of Acrylic Car Primer spray. Its cheap and will do the job. When it comes to finishing with an airbrush you must go to the TIPS and TRICKS page and select PAINTING and WEATHERING, you will get all the help you need there including camo plans for the particular Tank you are modelling. Enjoy. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone

Re: Decals
As im a cheap skate.... I generally remove those sticky decals by gently but carefully heating the decal with a hair dryer .
...... best done on a Friday night by the way..... My Doris is at Bingo.... you wont get caught that way. ! .. Then use White Spirit / Turps
to remove any residue .... Good Luck ..... Welcome to the Crazy world of RC Tanking !

Re: Decals
The original Painting and Weather post does list the "OVEN SPRAY CLEANER" method yet the pictures were lost some time ago.
Easy-Off oven cleaner will remove everything down to the plastic,so another option for you to consider.Sorry about the pictures I no longer have them to re-post.
