I'm glad I get a mention somewhere in there bro!

I don't do the intelligent leccy stuff I just do the arty sculpting and painty bits!

Could you fit sound system from tamiya rc trucks as they're big Diesel engines?
Mtronics do a nice multi cylinder diesel engine sound unit: http://www.mtroniks.net/products.asp/Su ... odules.htm

We reeled him in there eh RM? :)

Ad lav, we found this 70turn budget crawler motor works great in the Humvee, slows it down nicely with a 16 tooth pinion, gives you plenty of torque for trail driving and even a bit of crawling:

Ive got a spare Hummer tyre if you want to do what RM did. Keith did you drill the holes in it so it fits over the body pins? I forgot to ask when we were at the beach.

Just carved some holes in the underside of the tyre to allow it to sit over the loops

SLU do systems for trucks, a lot cheaper than Tamiya kit, the truck guys use them according to various sources on the web.

The only problem is getting hold of them, not an easy task. :eh:

Hope you didn't pay too much Ad Lav, there's a Hummer just gone up on Tamiya club for £70 ONO!

I see that - no electrics, no batteries, damaged body, no rc equipment and a bit tatty hence £70.

Got mine for a bit more than that but brand new shell, wheels etc and all the radio gear included :)
