Hallo TFTM, I have two MG34s one I will place on the AA mount of my Tiger1 when I start the detailing, presently scheduled for 2023/24 and the other was going to go on the cupola mount of my "AUF G", but with the hard work of WILDBOAR I cannot find a definetive reference for an MG34 cupola mount except for the later AA mount on the updated "AUF J", while I was doing all this I came across plenty of photographs of MG34s on BIPODS, so I made one and it looks ok but I need somebody to lie down behind it, no rush I have nearly finished the exterior of the Panzer4 just the decals, fire extinguisher, and jack to go but before I do the decals I shall be refitting the electrics, so QUESTION do I fit the Heng Long, do I take up the offer from Welsh Dragon Models ( if there is ever a saint made for 1/16 scale tank modelling Steves the man)and buy the Taigen 2.4 system or do I buy a Clark board? All this is fine and dandy but as my lady keeps reminding me I am a very old man!!! So what happens first I DIE or I run out of money? I bet you wished you had not asked now whatever the question was. shaun

Hi Shaun,
Just to add to the conversation .... Unless you are 100% confident in soldering the 'Clarks Board' I would suggest that you stick with Steve at Welsh Dragon.
I know several people who have managed to 'fry' the boards with soldering issues.

Hallo Alb, My Tiger is a Torro 2.4 so I was edging in that direction, I always value your advice ( witness the magnets and locating rods in my Panzer4 after fitting metal engine covers) . To a wider audience, if you do fit magnets and locating rods I would suggest you also fit driver and radio operator hatches as it makes it easier to see the rods as you put the two halves together. yet again Alb thanks for your comment. shaun

Well Doc I hope you are proud of yourself? I spend weeks searching out information on mg34 bipods and then scratch build one and without so much as a by your leave you point me at a website that not only has an mg team but seperately an mg34 on a BIPOD!!! and an mg42 on a BIPOD!!! You should be ashamed of yourself. Seriously it really is a most useful addition to the favourites on my PC. OH well more expence. Thank you my friend I am very grateful for your efforts. shaun

if all you needed was an mg34 (on a bipod i put one on my pantiger on the cupola mount ! i have a couple of mg42's (from my platoon) that you could've for free but you did state german tankers in a prone position and i sent you an ss panzer grenadier crew ! But you modded one ? show me please ! i love the figures !
I love verlinden stuff but it's way too over-priced imo ! buy me one too or if you want i'll paint them for you ?

Search eBay for 1/18 figures. 21st Century released a well detailed range of military figures. They are a little over size so fit 1/16 tanks perfectly and come with accessories. I don't have any photos of WW2 ones but here's a Nam era tank commander on my HL Bulldog
