Hi All,
Any of you involved in heavily modding your tanks internals?
Rob (fv432) posted his idea of using what I think is packaging foam on RCU, and it works REALLY WELL.
I used the polystyrene foam from a fridges packaging wrapped in gaffer tape.
So don't throw that foam away anymore, it takes forever to degrade and you can use it.
Not only a brilliant idea, but green aswell
Again, all credit goes to Rob for this one.
Cheers
John

Thanks for the credit john
thats a good idea on the foam you used the stuff i used was from the inside of a upvc door panel and the plastic outside skin is good for new floors once the battery tray has been removed

Looks much neater and it should also absorb some of the mechanical noise from the motor and gears. Only negative thing I'd say is if you're not carful it could make your tank overheat as it'll reduce the airflow through the hull.
You aint gettin me on no plane fool!

Hi Crispy,
Airflow isn't a problem on the tank in the pic. It's my HE Leo2 conversion.
All the electronics are in the turret.
It's a good point though and I'll keep it in mind for future projects.
Cheers
