If you move the real one, we could see the model that must be parked behind it.

Hiya

Thanks for all the kind words chaps. Yep out of production At present, last time I saw one was well over £300 plus it was the basic model none of the extra armor and the fifty cal , stowage etc you see here. I've also drilled out the lights on this and the indicators work as it turns which looks excellent if a bit diddly to rig. Trouble is it now weighs a ton( we had to fit extra strong springs) and is like glass with all the extras on.

Hi peeps, Rocketman asked me to say a few words about this build as I'm the Tamiya RC car fan and built the thing, so I should spill the beans. I should probably point out we did a trade last year, my Hummer for his Dragon 1/6 Willis Jeep... that's still very much WIP.

I put it together from a Tamiya Hummer body set and a TA01 chassis I restored. The gun was from a Mcfarlane coast guard figure that seemed the right scale. TA01s can be picked up quite cheap on eBay and there are plenty of spares available as its been around for years, mostly under touring car shells.

If you're interested I did a build thread on it over at Tamiyaclub, follow the link below.

That's how Rocketman got it so all the lovely detail is down to him... I couldn't even get him to take the nice soft, grippy tyres! Some people eh? :)

Regards
Nic

Great work, really into this now, so much so I've bought one!

Could you fit sound system from tamiya rc trucks as they're big Diesel engines?
