I have received a request to post up the build pics for the ZTZ99 that I did a couple of years ago, so here ya go, in no particular order...
It was kitted out with a Leopard 2A6 SLU when the videos were made, plus I swapped the turret motor for faster one and cut the extra teeth on the turret ring to give 360 rotation. It was running on Permax 480 motors and low ratio gearboxes. Coloured led's were installed in the to represent the laser blinding defence etc.
These are all the pics and videos that I have I am afraid??

Re: ZTZ99
Thanks for posting wibbly
I have a ZTZ , i notice its the slowest HL Tank i have , do the Permax motors fit straight into the Hl gearbox cages ? .
From your vid's , its seems a lot faster .

Sure, all 480 motors use the same screw mounts as the HL motors.

Can I ask what cutter you used to create the "tile" effect on the external armour protection ?. Is this thin styrene overlayed on a backing panel ?

Re: ZTZ99
Yes, the extended armour is all flat styrene, scored with a styrene cutter, though a blunt box cutter will do the job. It doesn't show up too well in the pics but each tile also has a mounting hole recess in the corners...but not all corners. You need to Google for close up pics to get the correct layout.
...and yes I have a few tanks, the Bradley, T34, and ZTZ, and Panther have since passed on to new owners. Out of my current stable I only have a Sherman to post up, plus a few static models that are used for battlefield scenics.
I tend to do a tank each winter nowadays as it keeps me occupied during the dark evenings when there is little else to do, it also means that I can take my time doing one, rather than rush it.
