stripped threads

Post by jagman62 »

Hi,I'm back again to ask another question. Can anyone tell me how you repair stripped threads in plastic.I have just put a new on/off switch underneath the exhaust on my Hl tiger tank and noticed the gear boxes were slightly loose but the screws are just turning in the bottom of the tank.Suppose I could drill through & put a nut & bolt in but that would leave the nuts,or screw heads, stiking out off the bottom. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to a repair?.

You can fix this with this method , use some heat stretched plastic sprue , a couple of small lengths glued into the hole act like a 'rawplug' .
to the bouncy room ! Yay !
