Howdy from Texas, USA!
(Where, contrary to stereotypes, we don't all wear cowboy hats & boots! )
I'm also a long-time lurker and am looking forward to seeing all the visuals that I've been missing. There's lots of great information here; RC Tanks seem to be more popular in the UK than the USA.
I've been interested in RC tanks since 2009 and have a section of my website devoted to it (http://jbwid.com/idxrctank.htm Warning: I do use coarse language on occasion). Physical space (the lack of it) is an ongoing problem, but I'm probably good for at least 1 more project: Hopefully, a Jagdtiger.
The "blademangler" handle comes from my RC heli experience, which made me realize that RC tanks were a better fit for my abilities and reflexes. I'm more of a tinkerer than an RC tank battler, but I enjoy the modeling side as well and would like to improve my skills in that area.
Thanks for the forum!

Welcome from the Great White North! Funny I came to the same conclusion!
I figured I could fix easily what ever I ran into with a tank!
