Hi jarndice, not sure if this helps , I will have to paint my MG34 at some stage . Found this on the internet on a RC Tiger

This is a genuine 1944 example which would seem simular in colour apart from the wooded stock a lighter shade

The shoulder prop was most from 'Bakelite' or more seldom of wood.

Thus deep brown to red-brown. Or wooden colors.

The metal parts black undercoat, with ironcolor drybrushing and at the end quite finely with silver.

If I have forgotten. The lateral covers of the handle were also from 'Bakelite'
