Another Tanker

Post by trackmech81 »

Im not exactly new here (joined in 2011) but I started remodeling a house and then put my tanks in storage so I never posted or got too involved here. I guess its time to introduce myself and start building again.

My name is Chris, and I spent 6 years as an American Army tank mechanic, or track vehicle repairer, as my job title read. I have loved armor models since I was a kid and have been building 1/35 for 17 years. I built a 1/16 Tamiya M4 full option about 12 years ago, but sadly sold it to Bob at ETO shortly after it was complete. Not that its not in good hands LOL, but I miss it. I am in the process of building a Leopard 2A6 full option now and look forward to seeing what all is new.

Welcome to the forum Chris, we can never have enough tankers. Good idea with the new battery position, I'll have to do the same mod after I finish my Tiger. I got my Leo 2 after my 2008 tour and since then the rear of the turret has drooped and is rubbing across the debris screens for the cooling fans. Good luck with the mod brother, I'll be tracking. Once again, welcome...
