Königstiger 1:16

Post by Gielie »

Ok, this is my King Tiger, it's a Torro edition, wtih metal lower hull, metal wheels, sprockets and idlers, metal turret, action recoil etc.
I find the paint job verry good, so I won't be changing anything soon.

Hi, Nice King Tiger. Have your any information on performance?

Are you pleased with the recoil unit? Curious as mine had a few minor issues yet overall has been a fine tank.

Recoil unit works just fine, I had no problems so far.
As for performance, verry good in sand, even doesn't have any trouble in grass, battery only lasts for a half hour or so, depending on the surface i drove it on

Good Morning.
That's a fine looking piece of armor there. I have already resolved to have my next 1:16 tank be a Taigen or Torro. Working with the VS brand armor has taught me to appreciate the fun inherent in fine detailing vs large scale upgrades.

I have got a good experience with Torro, allways the right stuff and fast delivery.
And they have nice tanks, those pre-painted ones

The upper hull is this King Tiger I just use a pan that I built. The heavy metal tower, however, I see as a disadvantage. He is so heavy that you have to glue reinforcing ribs in the bottom box so that they do not permanently deformed. But otherwise it is cleaned.

Great looking KT, it's hard to see in the pics but do the hatches open? Thanks

main hatch opens, the rest is fixed... This is a Torro Extra edition something, so is don't know how it was built. But I have no problems with the metal turret, the only downside is that i sometimes forget that the upper hull is still plastic...

Nice KT. I didn't see any zims on the turret, just on the body, right ? I assume it is plastic moulded into the body ? Would love to see the inside, also is it the standard HL recoil unit ?
