heng long recoil

Hi have been trying to fit a recoil and flash unit to my Heng long tiger.In doing so my tank just keeps jumping backwards as if track recoiling not barrel recoiling .This happens with or with out the barrel recoil and flash connected and it doesent stop in till switched off. Could anyone with more brains than me pleases help thanks Dave.

Hey Dave,

That track recoil is incorporated within the electronics, I take it you running the stock electronics that came with the tank. To remove that annoying and unrealistic track recoil, PM Freakydude with Immortal Hobbies and get the Dragon ATRC, he's good to go and he'll be able to set you up. Plus answer any other technical questions.

Dave, it sounds like the micro switch on your barrel recoil is not cutting out the feed to the RX-18 so that as soon as your are power up your tank just start track recoiling and doesn't stop. You should also get the firing sound too continuously, right ?

Your barrel might be jammed, or the micro switch is not hook up properly. Is your Tiger I BB before the conversion ? Did you get a microswitch shipped with the barrel recoil unit ? Are you using the high intensity flash ? Send a pic or something of your hook-up.

Thanks mate ive checked the switch and the barrel is free it was a air soft BB .Not having much luck don't know were all the wires go in the Rx multi unit it is a Asiatam recoil and flash not getting gun sounds like you said .The machine gun led and the two mounted leds have now gone off might put it away for another day cheers Dave,

Hi michael hope you don't mind me getting in touch. Would you know where to buy the connectors that attach the aerial on the heng long tanks.I have just bought taigen recoil turret so need connectors for the red wire so need to find out where that goes as well .I don't have a clue when it comes to electrics thanks very much Dave.

Dave, I usually used old antenna connectors but you can just solder it to the negative power switch too. The connector is only there so you can disconnect from the lower hull. Send me a PM and I can mail you one too. Is it male or female from the recoil? I cant remember. I think it is female so you would need a male one.

Hi michael sorry it has took me so long to get back in touch.My lap top has not been working .Since the last time i ask you a question the tank has not been working .The lights just flash the battery has been fully charged and i have even fitted a new reciever board .The flash at the end of the gun flashes once as soon as i swith it in but thats it ps .i thought this would be a good hobby ha ha.
