Taigen high tens flash unit and DBC

Post by BZ123456 »

Hi all, how to use taigen high tens flash with DBC? Should it be connected with RX18? I've already try it, nothing happen. There is no way to connect to DBC because DBC has only two pins whereas flash unit has 5 pins

You connect to both.

Plug into the RX18 then the three wires which go from that 5 pin plug to the flash (give +v, 0v, and trigger signal)

The trigger wire you cut and connect to the DBC I think you connect to the -v of the LED flash output.

That way the RX18 provides the power and the DBC provides the trigger signal.

If you want to double check with Dan here http://battlearmorrc.weebly.com/rx-18-w ... ation.html he should be able to help.

Thanks Ian, Dan said if I connect it to DBC there's risk frying power transistor. Dan suggest to connect the trigger wire to blue wire in 8 pin wire, the negatif one which shoot BB. I will try as soon I get home

I come across this before plus if the 8 pin lead is plugged in other way round all the colours are wrong.

I say stick with the diagram from Dans website (link I posted above) and if 3rd pin doesn't work try 4th pin. Or if you've a volt meter put across pins 3 and 5 and then fire tank if you get 6 or 7v for a split second that is the one. I not move to pins 4 and 5.

Ian could you please look quotation from Craig here,

The HL tanks have an extra that can be added, called a High Intensity Flash (HIF) unit that stores electricity & emits a high intensity light flash from an LED when firing a tank's main gun. The HIF unit will connect to those 5 pins on CN3, the Strobe pin is the trigger, that when the tank's main gun fires, the HIF unit has a switch which shorts the trigger with the positive to complete the circuit & make the LED bright flash go off.

That bold underlined word is confusing me, because the blue wire is negatif

Thanks

Benny I think that is a typo. The Heng long uses common positive ie always present at LEDs or gun elevation motors. And it switches the negative wire every time.

Well I try to connect all the wire as suggest and nothing happen. Positive and negatif wire connect to normal CN3 on RX18. The triger wire (black one) connect to blue wire in 8 pin wire.
The charge but when I shoot nothing happen, only sound and recoil succeed.

Any other suggestion?
