Spotted the rarest tiger ever !

I was watching a recording of a discovery channel show called, Battlefield ,the battle of kursk part 2 the show can be viewed here on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22xpNBJCS4U just for a bit of research for my tiger model when i came across a short 5 second flash of a tiger tank on fire at 1.12.51 (one hour twelve mins and fifty one seconds) into the show .I looked, looked again and didnt believe my eyes i enclose a still picture of the scene

take a close look at the drivers mantlet and machine gunners port on the front took me a while to figure out what i was lookin at then i sussed it what do you think of it ?? all the best . rob

i agree

that's why i raised the point re helmets with ensignia. i believe waffen ss had their decals on the rhs whereas german WH traditionally had them on the left along with the luftwaffe regiments. Can anyone clarify this ?

Agree on the wrong way projection for that one small inserted clip. That can bring about a lot of confusion at times with videos & pictures, usually just an overlooked editing mistake.
This is how it should have looked.

Hi Take a look at the desert war ,you will see photos /film of Grants with the 75mm gun on the left.Grants only had the 75mm gun on the right

DGS I am the first to be grateful to Heng Long for allowing so many people into a hobby that would otherwise be out of our pocket, BUT even the greatest supporter would have to recognise that the early tanks left a lot to be desired. At least without any great increase in price the improvement in every aspect of the product has far exceeded my expectations, all they have to do now is expand the available product range. shaun
